An innovation born from collaboration.
At Loca Service, innovation always stems from the meeting of ideas and technical expertise.
The tripartite project carried out between our Design Office, our Print Production Department, and our Graphic Studio perfectly illustrates this collaborative spirit.
The goal: to design an immersive and sensory visual installation capable of triggering an immediate emotional response in-store, while respecting the technical constraints of production and installation.
A powerful idea: bringing print to life.
This project is based on a strong idea: the Graphic Studio doesn’t just create print—it brings an idea to life through a complete project.
Starting from a sketch, a draft, or a raw concept, the teams combine their expertise to craft a coherent, clear, and impactful experience.
The result is a bold and disruptive theatrical project for supermarkets and hypermarkets.
This universe blends with the world of the funfair: giant wheels of Bolognese pasta and yogurt, soda shakers, a haunted clown train, a gummy candy photo booth, fruit balloons, meat and fish carousels, a dairy fortune teller, and a candy shop.
An internal partnership pushing the limits of printed media.
Born from a shared desire to push the boundaries of printed communication, this internal collaboration aimed to deliver a bold reinterpretation—both refreshing and demanding—combining graphic creativity, technical precision, and production feasibility.
The central concept: a funfair reimagined through the world of food.
Through suspended elements, floor volumes, and a variety of printed supports, the project evokes conviviality, color, and movement, while maintaining a minimalist and contemporary aesthetic.
The line-drawing style blends simplicity and refinement, appealing to both children and adults.
A synergy of expertise dedicated to performance.
From sketch to installation.
Each stage relies on the strength of collaboration:
- The Graphic Studio transforms the initial concept into a visual universe, designs mock-ups, and ensures artistic coherence throughout.
- The Design Office creates the structure, assesses technical feasibility, and defines the elements to be produced in volume or suspended.
- Production brings the concept to life by selecting the most suitable materials, inks, textures, and finishes.
This complementarity is the key to a smooth, harmonious, and impactful final result, where every step enhances creativity, durability, and in-store appeal within just a few weeks.
A minimalist and emotional graphic design
Finding the perfect balance
The choice of a minimalist graphic style was deliberate. The goal was to find the perfect balance between commercial readability and visual emotion.
Clear lines, simple shapes, and soft colors offer a striking effect without visual overload.
The “hand-drawn” style reintroduces a sense of humanity and authenticity into visual communication.
It evokes nostalgia and friendliness, reminiscent of traditional fairs and their festive atmospheres.
This project goes beyond a simple visual installation: it’s an evolved experience—both sensory and emotional.
The space is designed to be modular, adaptable to the place of exhibition—whether it’s a store, a shopping mall, or a temporary event.
Elements can be suspended, motorized, placed on the floor, or integrated into 3D volumes, creating a lively and fluid scenography.
The visual aspect intertwines with complementary sound and sensory dimensions, transforming a simple visit into a true immersive experience.
Bringing a POS (Point of Sale) display to life also allowed us to go even further in immersion: thanks to an integrated motor, we were able to create a “Shaker” attraction within our funfair universe.
Innovative and responsible materials
To bring this vision to life, the teams explored new materials and printing techniques.
- Akyprint, rigid yet lightweight, allows for the creation of suspended or volumetric elements.
- P.E.T, recyclable, is used for translucent visuals that play with light.
- YUPO TAKO, recyclable, features micro-suction cups that enable high-quality window graphics without damage.
- Holographic stickers add depth and dynamism.
- Reboard provides a rigid, recyclable, lightweight, and honeycombed structure.
A technological and sensory immersion
When digital amplifies the experience
The visual experience is further enhanced by the integration of immersive technologies:
- image and video projections using digital tools,
- dynamic window graphics,
- LED lighting,
- motorized devices.
Together, these elements create a vibrant, captivating, and memorable universe where creativity and technology complement each other to deliver a unique sensory experience.
These choices combine visual impact, environmental responsibility, and installation flexibility, while guaranteeing a high-end finish on our full black displays—with superior quality, enhanced product visibility, and energy efficiency rated A.
It’s worth noting that we are the only ones on the market capable of offering energy consumption equivalent to that of a single light bulb for a refrigerated display.
This project perfectly embodies the DNA of Loca Service: a subtle blend of creativity, technical expertise, and responsible innovation—serving unique in-store experiences.
